Mića Vujičić was born in 1979 in Mokrin, Serbia.
He graduated in comparative literature and literary theory at the Faculty of
Philology, Belgrade. Since 1998 he has worked as a freelance journalist. His
newspaper articles, columns, interviews and literary chronicles have been
published in daily and weekly newspapers such as Dnevnik, Danas, Blic, Politika, NIN and Feral Tribune. He is a culture reporter for the Serbian
weekly Radar and author of four books, including novels Tackling Foul (2010), The Heartland (2018) and a collection of stories Freediving (2014). He was awarded the
prestigious “Borislav Pekić” literary scholarship in 2006 and "Dušan Vasiljev" Prize (2019).
